Xavier specialises in Belgian and international tax law. He assists his clients in corporate tax law matters related to national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as restructurings. He advises them on transfer pricing, holdings and investment management related matters. He also assists business owners on transfers of assets and estate planning transactions. Xavier is a recognised expert in cross-border tax matters, with a particular focus on the relationship between Belgium and France.
Xavier is a regular speaker at conferences. He is a lecturer at Université de Bourgogne – Centre de recherches fiscales in Dijon. He is a professor at the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales de Bruxelles. Xavier has written extensively on tax-related subjects and contributed to many books and articles in the specialised press.
Xavier is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and of the Institut des Avocats et Conseils Fiscaux in France. He is also registered with the Brussels and Paris bars. Xavier was responsible for the Belgium Desk in Paris for over 6 years.
Xavier holds a Law degree from the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium, 1986). He also holds a special degree in business law from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium, 1987) and a special degree in tax law from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales de Bruxelles (Belgium, 1993).
