Dirk is a member of Loyens & Loeff’s Litigation & Risk Management Practice Group in Belgium. He has considerable experience in corporate and commercial litigation (including arbitration), finance, banking and securities litigation, restructuring and insolvency, insurance and reinsurance litigation.
Dirk has particular expertise in the financial and insurance sector as well as transport and logistics. His clients include Belgian and European banks, insurance companies and manufacturing companies.
He is chairman of the commission of appeal with the ‘Vlaams Fonds voor de Letteren’.
Dirk is mentioned as leading expert in his field of expertise by Legal 500 EMEA (2013 edition).
He was an assistant at the Universiteit van Antwerpen (UFSIA) from 1986 until 1990.
